  1. I may have asked this before, but is there a way to save a different service format for Large print, Regular Bulletins and Powerpoint?

Large print and Powerpoint require full text, but regular bulletin does not. We could save a lot of paper w/o text and sometimes the full melody works better in regular bulletin, but comes out too small on screen.

  2. At this time, there's not a way to set different preferences for title/text/melody depending on output type.

    I believe it's on the to-do list.

This, in my opinion, is a major feature missing from the service builder. I would like to be able to create a service, and then generate the service with different output types.

I need to be able to create two different bulletin types each week - a standard outline bulletin, and a longer visitor bulletin which requires no hymnal use. The short format bulletin would include an outline of the service, including headings, song titles, page numbers, and the propers for the day. The long format bulletin would include the full liturgy content, and hymns. Both would be used simultaneously.

Such a feature would help lead the established worshipers into using our greatest resource - the hymnal - while giving new comers a tool to help them learn the dance. It would also save service preparation time, which was one of the main promises of the new software.

Powerpoint may be something I would like to offer in the future, but not if it means having to go back through the builder an additional time each week and change every option.

I also wasn't happy to hear that our software guys are being moved on to other projects, with less time for the service builder. To me that implies that the program is finished, which I'm sorry to say, it appears that it is not.

  6. This is precisely why we added the Service Format drop-down a few versions ago; have any of you experimented with it to see if it addresses your needs?

Please let us know if it's deficient in any specific way so we can improve it in the future.

  7. It doesn't work, I have tried it. Let me play with it again and I will get back you...I haven't tried it since we have done a few upgrades.
