How do I save the formatting for a service? For example in DSI I want the text off for the invocation. Text on for the confession/absolution. Title only for the Pax Domini, full text and melody for the Agnus Dei. Then also with Large print and Powerpoint you need text on for hymns, but off for those using the hymnal. Presently we go through and reset everything every element every week. There seems like there must be an easier way.

My only thought would be to save it as a new layout. Then Choose that for the service

Jessica's suggestion is the best way to do what you're trying to do. I just tried it out and made sure that the custom order of service "remembers" your Title/Text/Melody selections. It worked for me.

The only thing I see in layout is paper size, margins, and music scale. and only save is default.

Oops! By "layout" I think Jessica meant "a custom order of service." You can save a custom order of service in the Plan Service Task by clicking on "Save As..." in the lower right corner. So: after you've changed the Title/Text/Music settings in Bulletin Task, go back to Plan Service Task and click "Save As..."

I did try that yesterday and it appeared to work, but when I opened them today the setting were back to the preferences defaults.

OK I just redid mine, to see if I could walk you through and you are correct. The only, EASIER way I can see of doing it would be to click on the drop down and choose edit stylesheets and on the second tab and choose your options.
Sorry.

I found a way around it by deleting those service elements where I want title only and substituting a caption.
