Migrating from stand alone to network

(3 posts)
  1. I am working on changing our various users from a stand alone environment to a network environment. We also have 1 person using LSB 1, 1 person using LSB 2, and one new computer coming online. Is there an easy way to do the migration or do I need to reload all three computers using LSB 2?

LSB 2 and LSB 1 use different data sources. LSB 1's data source was an Access file, so different installations of LSB 1 could be networked by pointing them to a file share. LSB 2 uses Microsoft SQL Server so to network all these computers, they'll all need to be running LSB 2 and you'll have to do some minor administrative work with SQL Server to make sure the remote computers can log in with full permissions to the LSB databases.

    Does this help?
