I am just now starting to really look at the beta version and I find alot of the interface really helpful. I really like the drag and clik, reminds me of itunes! :) One feature I am missing is the choice to have pointing in the introit or not. Denending on the service and sunday our congregations sings and sometimes speaks the introit. I love in the other versions now now you click the box for what you want and there it is, no having to edit and take everyting out in ms word. Will you be adding this feature to the beta or am I just missing it? Like I said I am nust now starting to work with it. Thank you!

ImmanuelCarlsbad,
Would you mind telling me a little more about what it is you want to do? What are you having to take our in MS Word? Also, could you tell me what version of Lutheran Service Builder 2 you are using? (You can find that by going to the 'Help' menu and clicking 'About Lutheran Service Builder'.)Thanks,

I am looking at 2.019 (looking at because I am just learning it!) I am having a great time learning the new program but am not currently using it for church, I a using the old Lutheran Service Builder for actual work until I get everything in my head how I want it!
In this version when you click on the introit it will show me the introit with chant tones, and you can inlarge or shrink the font (I like that feature!) However the little box is missing that in the other builder you click if you don't want the chant tones. The other thing I just noticed that is missing is the choice to add in the music and the scroll bar to choose the tune a-j or whatever it is.
Will these be things in the future that you are going to be adding to the beta version? I understand that this is a work in progress and I love that you are letting us look at it. The changes I have come across are nice. It has a learning curve different then the older versions but that does not bother me at all.
As for why I export everything to MS Word, that is because I jsut then all all the different announcements, weeks schedule, different things that the members want in the end of the bulletin like the about the cover and so on. It is just far easier for me to print it all in order at one time then to do it in two different programs. And part of the export may be opperator error because I have yet figured out how to imput the prayers to how I like them in the service without having to cut and paste them.
Thank you for everything you do. I don't know if you are thanked enough or if you get only the negatives!

Hello. Thanks for the "thanks" and thanks for the extra info!
There should be options in the Bulletin Task for toggling chant pointing and allowing you to select a Psalm Tone. Do you see those options in the tool "bubble" above the bulletin preview when you've clicked on an Introit in the preview?
If you don't, I know of one other customer who has the latest Builder and isn't seeing those options. I'm not 100% sure why that's happening yet; but I have a guess. Are you using a custom service that was imported from your Builder 1 data?

I have my screen open and am looking at it when I do the bulletin preview I now see the options where I can change psalm tones, thank you for pointing me in the right direction for that. I also found where you can take out the chant tones! YEA! THANK YOU! However when I did select to take out the tones it took everything out except for the Glory Be the the Father part. Is there a way to get rid of that too?
Thank you so much!

Oh :( The bad news is that "The Glory Be to the Father" parts were messed up in 2.0's actual databases. But the good news is that Ryan just posted data migrations that fix all of that. When you've downloaded all of the latest updates for Builder, that problem should be resolved.
