I've been trying to work on January 18th. Whenever I try to use the creative worship file to insert an element, my left hand display (order of service) disappears and it moves to the right hand display. I don't see the creative worship elements at all. It also causes problems with the whole program, I have to restart it everytime. I thought it might be that the file had been corrupted, so I re-downloaded it and it worked for a few minutes, the next time I tried to use the file it glitched again. Now nothing I try will make it work. I know it's just the 18th, because other weeks appear just fine. Is there a fix?

Tilaree,
This sounds like a pretty serious problem; but no one here at CPH has been able to reproduce it. If you wouldn't mind, could you list the steps you go through that cause this problem?
Here's what I tried:
1. Opened Lutheran Service Builder
2. Imported the-second-sunday-after-epiphany.lsbx
3. When the popup appeared, chose "Plan this Service"
4. Inserted an element into the service outline.Did you do something different?
Thanks!

Tilaree, would you also let me know what version of Builder you're using? Click on the "Help" menu and "About" to read the version. Thanks again!

I already have service templates that I use and I only use a couple of elements from creative worship. So when I'm in the "choose or create order of service" screen, (after importing CW file) I choose "browse" then "my worship resources" then "services" and choose the name of the CW service I want to use elements from. usually, it comes up on the right screen and my order of service stays on the left screen and I drag and drop the "As we gather", etc. over. When I do this with the 18th (the confession of St. Peter) my order of service moves to the right hand screen instead of the CW one coming up and everything pretty much doesn't work right after that. When i do this with any other CW service week everything works fine.

I think I figured it out. I was trying to access the wrong file. I was looking for "second Sunday after Epiphany" which is what creative worship entitles the week and was trying to open the "confession of St. Peter" which is what LSB 2 entitles the week. I'm finding matching files by title to be very confusing. Sorry about wasteing your time. I'd like to say, though, that this program has been VERY confusing to try and learn without any kind of manual. It's so different than LSB 1 that it's really learning a whole new program. Also, all my service templates had to be re-done piecemeal as my custom elements didn't transfer at all. that said, I am getting the hang of it, but keep encountering these frustrating "problems" because I'm feeling around blind trying to figure this program out. Unless theres a "help" section I'm missing?

Hope you didn't tear too much hair out trying to figure out my "Glitch".

:) I was pretty confused about your "glitch" --- I'm glad there's not something bizarrely wrong!
When I was trying to reproduce your "glitch," I did find that, once you've got a large enough number of services, it's annoying to try to find one in that drop down in Plan Service Task. So I'll be working on a better way of organizing those. You'll probably see that later this month.
I'm very sorry about the material lost during your data-transfer from LSB 1. We learned about that problem after LSB 2 was released. I believe I've fixed it and the next update to Builder will add a little utility that will allow you to re-transfer your 1.x data. However, if you've already rebuilt your orders of service, you may have no use for that utility.
There is a help section on this website: http://cphconnect.org/builder/help/ but I'm afraid there is no manual yet for LSB 2. This is a significant shortcoming on our part. We apologize. The only thing preventing us from delivering that at the moment is a lack of manpower!
With regard to some of the other changes in Builder 2 that you've found confusing, we'd love to hear about them. I'm very interested in trying to make the transition from LSB 1 to LSB 2 smoother and more intuitive.
Thanks for the feedback, Tilaree!

Thanks for being so good natured about my venting. I will try to let you know about things as I encounter them again.
