    I am using LSB 2.1.22.18571.

I have a customized liturgy that we use following non-communion services so that those whose work schedule absents them every other Sunday do not have to miss the Sacrament of the Altar for an entire quarter (fifth Sundays bumping them into/out of sync with our "regular" communion schedule). Towards the beginning of the liturgy, I would like Collect 155 - For right reception of the Lord's Supper (2), and the Post-Communion Collect I would like as Collect 157 - Thanksgiving after receiving the Sacrament (1). I set up the service outline, even inserting the collects themselves rather than inserting a "Collect Element" with Collect 157 as its content. I change the titles on the collects so that the service outline will read "Post-Communion Collect" rather than "157-Thanksgiving after receiving the Sacrament (1)." I save the custom outline, then try to use it for a service. These two collects revert to empty collect elements every time. (The content does remain if the liturgy is saved for a particular date, just not as a custom liturgy template.)

Is there any way to save a particular, numbered collect as part of a customized liturgy?

  2. You can go into My Worship Resources and select the liturgy from the appropriate list.

Then, you can find the Collect resources in your outline, click on them, and then click the Edit button to the right.

There is a space here for "suggestions", and there should be an Add button underneath what will be at first an empty list. You can click on the Add button and then add "suggested" collect(s) as needed.

These suggestions are what we use to populate the prayers throughout Lutheran Service Book and will operate in exactly the same way.

Just let us know if you're either not able to get this to work properly or things aren't as you expected them to appear.

Worked like a charm. The more I learn about this program, the more excited I become. I'm looking forward to the time when you have the documentation done so I don't have to bug you on this forum and I can read about all the other neat things LSB can do that I don't even realize, yet.

    Thanks again.
