Is there a way I can access a specific rite without creating an entire worship service? We normally use the hymnal, but occasionally have need for a sending, blessing, or even first communion prior to confirmation, and it would be handy to be able to simply create a single insert.

You can either search for the rite while in the search view (though you won't be able to select options here), or you can create a service using an empty outline, then add the Rite to it.
At the moment, there's not a way for you to access the full functionality of a Rite without attaching it to a service/date.
