We are blessing a new keyboard this weekend. I had Builder insert the Rite for the Blessing of an Organ in the service outline. There is a heading in this Rite "Blessing of the Organ." However the content under the heading is this benediction: "The Lord bless us, defend us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life." Obviously this has nothing directly to do with the blessing of an instrument.
If I get into Builder through "My Worship Resources" and search for "organ" there are numerous "Blessing of an Organ" listed. There are duplicate "Blessing of an Organ" for "in the Church building." One is the benediction above. The other is the proper one according to the Agenda: "The Lord Almighty, the Father, the + Son, and the Holy Spirit, bless this organ for use in the services of His house."
There actually are a variety of "Blessing of an Organ" entries some for church, some for home, some attached to other sacraments or rites. Many of these have nothing to do with organs.
I don't know if this is a content issue or a tagging issue.
I realize that this is not a high priority item. However, it does seem to be an odd glitch that I figured you'd want to know about.
