  1. Can you explain the what the difference in the Themes are on the Bulletin Edit Screen? I've changed fonts and styles in the Stylesheets menu, but they have no effect on what is saved to a bulletin. I am currently set on "UIDefault". Should this be on something else?

Also, evertime I save a bulletin, there are blank lines (hard-return) between each element. How can I get rid of theses? I have to delete them every time I create a service and I can't find out how to remove them.

  2. I have noticed that when you create a service and save it, it defaults to portrait and I had previously set the default at landscape, folded, and legal size paper. It sseems to go back to it's own default, even I told it set as default. I would like it to save all future services as a default like it did in LSB 1. I ahve not found a place to set it as LSB 1 had, or did I miss it?

    Hi Bill.

UIDefault is an unfortunate name for a built-in Stylesheet. Default, Large Print, and Times New Roman are others. If you've made changes to a Stylesheet, you've made them to a custom stylesheet which should be available from that dropdown. Unless you renamed it, it will be called "New Stylesheet."

There isn't currently a way to remove those blank lines in Builder 2. There should just be a single line between every element. Which lines do you have to remove?

    Rev Beaumont,
Could you tell me a little more about the problem you're having? Does Builder forget the settings you chose (and they are reset in the "Bulletin Size" dialog in Bulletin Task) or are they not showing up correctly in a file that Builder has exported your service to?

    Thanks!

  5. A though about blank lines in the documents.
If you have a blank line between each element in Word it totally negates the use of Words styles. You have to change the font size of each blank line manually to adjust the spacing between elements. If you use no blank line you can assign a style and the spacing changes with the style.

Could there be an option to include / exclude blank lines between elements?

  6. We definitely hear what you are saying with this, and we're going to take a good look at doing this in the future.

The idea of style controlling the line spacing did not occur to us.

It's been a year on the 'blank line' issue. Is there a fix in the works yet? I will be creating a new outline bulletin format soon, and the hard returns between each element will have to be manually removed as the Builder works currently.

There is not currently a fix in the works for this issue; but we are planning on having a sort of Builder-brainstorming retreat (we're not actually going anywhere) later this summer. We need to work out the roadmap for features for LSB 2 and start planning for LSB 3.
