  1. We just pushed a patch for Builder to 2.0.0019 to the automatic update service. Please check when you get a chance and it should be up and waiting for you to download.

If you haven't updated in a week or two, you may have your work cut out for you - we have been very busy and plan to continue releasing updates on a more frequent basis with Builder 2.

You can also read documentation on the release at http://cphconnect.org/builder/docs/LSB_2.0.0019

As always, we appreciate your feedback and would like to hear from you on the changes and improvements we are making. At this point, we'd like most of you to be using Builder 2 for the majority of your Sunday prep. If we're not at that stage yet, please let us know where we're short so we can work on those areas ASAP.

  2. Ok -- I updated to .net framework 3.5 sp1 and the it ran just fine.

However, now it doesn't seem to want to update. I have checked both the beta update and check for updates on start up in the preferences.

When I started it the second time (and a third time), I needed to activate it again and teh beta update box was no longer checked.

I tried the "check for updates" under both "tools" and "help"

    My current version is:2.0.17.15976

  3. One further note -- I did not reinstal LSB 2 after I upgraded to net 3.5 sp 1. Should I uninstall LSB and the database and download it again znd reinstall?

  4. If you're not receiving updates, please check Add/Remove Programs and see if you have the CPH Software Updater installed.

  5. that's apparently the problem -- not sure when I uninstalled that.

Where can I get that download?

  6. http://cphdev.com/downloads/2.0/cphupd.1.0.0004.msi

Just download and install. Nothing else should be necessary. Since you're installing this after you installed Builder, though, it might take a couple of starts of Builder for your information to be filled out correctly behind the scenes.

If you've fired up Builder three time or so and it still hasn't nagged at you, then uninstall just Builder 2 and reinstall it. No database clearing or such is necessary, just reinstalling Builder to get the correct information to the Updater.

  7. All right -- I've got it updating, and up now working on the 2.0.19 version. I'm still having two issues:

    1) I have to re-activate the program everytime I run it. I have restarted my computer since I last installed the most recent update, up it still asks (I've run it twice since the restart)

    2) The only preference it remembers is that I want beta updates. I've changed several other options (no pointing, no red letters, title only for hymns, check for update on start up) but each time I restart LSB, these options have gone back to the default.

  8. You might have an old INI file that's set to not be re-writable, in which case we need to delete it (this is an artifact of being a beta tester from the first versions of Builder 2).

Are you running XP or Vista?

  9. vista

  10. OK.

    Go here:

    C:\ProgramData\Concordia Publishing House\Lutheran Service Builder 2\

...and delete the lsb.ini file. (Hopefully, Vista will allow you to do this.) You might need to accept a prompt.

You will have to have hidden folders turned visible in order to see this folder.

You will need to re-register Builder again when it launches, but this time the information should begin sticking. Let me know if it doesn't.
