Creative Worship Is Now Available for Builder.
Beginning with Part One of the 2008–2009 year of Creative Worship for the Lutheran Parish and the release of version 2.0 of Lutheran Service Builder, two of our most beloved and popular worship resources now work together in new and exciting ways. We are very excited and anxious to present this functionality to our users and hope you will find it to be of great value.
How to Get the Files
To use Creative Worship with Lutheran Service Builder, you must have a subscription to both. The service files for use with Lutheran Service Builder are included on the Creative Worship CD-ROM.
What’s Included?
The downloadable files for Creative Worship are broken down by service. If you don’t want a specific service, simply don’t install it. Each service includes the complete order of service as provided in Creative Worship, including notes and service elements unique to Creative Worship itself. When choices are presented for selecting content from a hymnal, that content is provided for you as options, pre-loaded with the correct content from Lutheran Service Builder.
If you’d rather just pull in single elements from the services, that’s fine, too. You’ll have to install the service package for the element you want, but you can then bring those elements into Lutheran Service Builder outlines with little work.
What Do I Need to Get This Working?
In this case, the files for Creative Worship were designed especially for the new Lutheran Service Builder 2.0. You’ll have to have 2.0 installed to use them; they won’t work with older versions.
Lutheran Service Builder 2 is now available for download at http://cphconnect.org/builder/download. Please make sure you read the installation instructions before proceeding to ensure you have the smoothest installation process possible.
Unfortunately, Lutheran Service Builder 2 is not yet available for dial-up Internet customers. We apologize for this inconvenience. A disc is expected to be available for purchase for dial-up or no-Internet customers in very early 2009.
Can I Offer You a Suggestion?
Absolutely. This is our first attempt at providing these resources together. We know that there are always methods we can improve in our delivery of Creative Worship and its usefulness in Lutheran Service Builder. You use these tools more than we do. If you have feedback, suggestions, or complaints, please either submit an email support request with your comments, or join our forum discussion on the matter.
All we ask is that you give us specific ways we can improve. Merely saying “I don’t like the way you did this” or “the Creative Worship files stink” only frustrates us and hurts our feelings. On the other hand, if you give us concrete examples and solid suggestions for improvement, we have faith that you will be surprised at how quick, honest, and dedicated we are in responding to constructive feedback. This feature might never get better unless you let us know.
