We will be releasing a series of patches that have been in testing for a few weeks in order to bring all Builder users up to version 2.1.16. You should receive these updates as part of the automatic update process the next time you start Builder. These updates are recommended for all users.

The following changes have been made since Lutheran Service Builder 2.1.13:

• The MIDI play control has been moved from the tabbed interface above an Element’s preview. It is now immediately next to the title of a given Element.
• The style of the tabs when previewing an element have been changed to better look like the rest of the interface.
• Tree views now react to selection on mouse-up instead of on mouse-down to improve functionality.
• Tree views no longer render an insertion triangle when you are dragging an element over itself (redundant).
• The New and Delete buttons used to add content packages when editing an Element have been changed to plus and minus symbols in order to save space and set them apart from the rest of the tabbed interface.
• The Edit Stanzas button in the Element editor has been changed from a button/dialog combo to a tab.
• Added space between the list of names (Title, Text, Melody) and attributes (Authors, Copyrights, Stanzas) in order to better differentiate them.
• The Hymn Editor has been refactored to fit properly in the intended 1024×768 minimum resolution.
• The Collect Editor has been reorganized slightly so that it more predictably looks like the Hymn Editor.
• The text label “Find Record” in My Worship Resources has been changed to a tooltip when using the search box.
• The editor has been moved out of a tab control in the Liturgy Element Editor for clarity.
• A live preview for Elements containing dynamic content has been added to the Liturgy Element Editor.
• When sending your log files to CPH using the Submit a System Report application, your .ini files will now be included.
• An inconsistent top margin in the Proxy tab in Preferences has been corrected.
• Text in disabled text boxes now properly looks disabled.
• Navigation history (using the forward and back buttons) has been capped at ten steps in order to reduce memory hogging.
• The “bubble” in the Create Service dialog is now colored purple in order to differentiate it from the Edit Service dialog.
• Added the capability to distribute custom Liturgies with Creative Worship.
• The default hymnal when choosing hymns in the Liturgy Element Editor is no longer the module you are in but is now always Lutheran Service Book.

The following bug fixes have been made since Lutheran Service Builder 2.1.13:

• Resolved an exception caused when Firefox was your default browser and either had never been run or had queued updates to install.
• Resolved a null reference exception caused by trying to load an LSBX data file while Builder was still initializing.
• Resolved a null reference exception occurring in rare cases when the Rich Text Editor acquired focus.
• Resolved an issue where the Tetragrammaton would sometimes appear in duplicate in previews.
• Resolved several issues with “lag” in drag-and-drop operations, such as when Liturgies wouldn’t properly drag until they had appeared in the Liturgy Editor.
• The “C” icon is no longer always rendered in bold. This resolves some nagging layout issues where the congregational responses wouldn’t properly “line up” with the pastor’s/leader’s words.
• Resolved a null reference exception caused when opening a Liturgy Element whose referenced content had been previously deleted.
• Resolved an exception created when exiting My Worship Resources when some content had been opened from the System module.
• Resolved an issue causing Builder to freeze when encountering the pound symbol (#) in user-generated content.
• Resolved an issue causing Builder to fail to index certain words when more than one pound symbol (#) was used in user-generated content.
• The Delete button will now properly be disabled when Element attributes (Authors, Copyrights, Stanzas) are selected.
• Resolved an issue where the Liturgy Element Editor would not properly display editing controls for “default” content.
• Resolved a glitch that moved the heading/rubric/caption edit box to move behind the package selector after changing a service’s Liturgy.
• Resolved an exception caused by launching Builder by clicking multiple files or a single file multiple times while Builder was still loading.
• Resolved an issue where Builder would not properly remember window location settings after it had been maximized.
• Resolved an issue with tree views where a label would show an edit box immediately when clicking a node after another node’s label was being edited.
• Resolved an issue where the formatting of responsorials wouldn’t properly apply to presentations.
• Resolved an issue where using the Search Box from the Home Screen would load a completely empty Search View.
• Resolved a performance issue where searches would run multiple times if a user held down the Enter key.
• Resolved an issue with search results that would generate errors as a result of concurrent searches.
• Improved error information for a null reference exception caused by conditional menus and prevented that exception from crashing Builder.
• Resolved an issue where content copied, printed, or saved would always be in the format (Title, Text, Melody) that was first exported.
• Resolved an issue where extensions would not be automatically appended to save files if the filename ended in an extension string without a period.
